Software that fits
your operation.
Off-the-shelf software often forces a business to change proven processes to fit rigid features. We study how your organisation actually works, then build around the people, workflows and information that matter.
- Business management platforms
- Sales and lead-management systems
- HR and workforce systems
- Client and customer portals
- Operational dashboards
- Reporting platforms
- Membership platforms
- Internal workflow systems
- Web applications
- Mobile applications
- APIs and system integrations
- Document and approval systems
We start with the problem,
not the technology.
The difference
Configuring generic software is not the same as building your platform.
Configuring generic software
- Fixed workflows with settings on top
- Your process bent to fit the product
- Someone else’s terminology and screens
- Per-seat subscriptions that grow with headcount
- The parts that make you different stay outside
A bespoke Nexgen platform
- Workflows designed from how your business actually operates
- Your name, logo, colours, domain and terminology
- Roles and permissions that mirror your real team
- Dashboards built on the numbers you manage by
- Hosted, maintained and supported by Nexgen
What a build
usually includes.
Every project is scoped individually, but most custom builds cover a similar set of foundations. We agree the specifics in the proposal before any development starts.
Nexgen retains ownership of the underlying software and hosts the platform. It is built and branded as yours, with a small “Powered by Nexgen” credit, and the commercial and usage terms are agreed in writing before development begins.
- Discovery and process mapping
- Solution design and user journeys
- Database and data model design
- Application build (web and/or mobile)
- Role-based access and permissions
- Integrations with your existing tools
- Reporting and dashboards
- Testing and user acceptance
- Deployment and hosting setup
- Team training and documentation
The technical detail.
These choices are what make a system dependable a year later: straightforward to run, to change and to hand to another developer. Here is how we approach them.
We build modern web applications with responsive interfaces that work on desktop, tablet and phone. Data sits in managed relational databases with role-based access controls, encrypted in transit and at rest.
Systems are deployed on managed cloud infrastructure with automated backups, monitoring and staged environments so changes are tested before they reach your team. Where a mobile app is required we build for both iOS and Android from a single codebase unless there's a reason not to.
We choose the stack for how well you can live with it — mature, well-documented tools with people available to maintain them. Where your team has technical staff or existing standards, we build to fit them.
Common questions.
How long does a custom build take?
It depends entirely on scope. A focused internal tool is a very different project to a multi-role platform with integrations. We give you a realistic timeline in the written proposal after discovery — we don't quote a standard turnaround, because it would be meaningless.
What does custom software cost?
Also scope-dependent. We scope and price each project after a discovery conversation, and put it in writing before anything starts. We'd rather tell you honestly than publish a number that doesn't apply to you.
Who owns the software?
Nexgen retains ownership of the underlying software and hosts the platform. You receive access to a platform built and branded specifically for your operation. The exact commercial and usage terms are documented in the proposal and agreement, before you commit.
What happens after launch?
Every platform is hosted and maintained by Nexgen under a monthly hosting, maintenance and fixes arrangement. New features or major changes are scoped and quoted separately unless the agreement already includes them.
Can you work with our existing systems?
Usually, yes. Integration with existing CRMs, accounting systems, payment providers and internal tools is a normal part of what we do. We confirm feasibility during discovery.
Do we have to replace everything at once?
No, and we'd usually advise against it. It's often better to solve the most painful process first, get it working, then extend.

Tell me what your current software is not doing.
Explain how your business operates, what systems you currently use and where the process is breaking down. I’ll review the requirement and tell you whether Nexgen should build a bespoke platform, improve one part of the operation or recommend an existing solution.
